i been working with leah lavigne since before 2018, both as a solo artist and her collaborative projects – including her current project, ok cowgirl. through the years, i’ve designed album art, promotional materials, and a typeface. as an artist, she has evolved and honed her visual image through the years, reflected through the work i’ve done for her.

her current project, ok cowgirl represented a particularly distinct shift. to represent her newest vision, i created two distinct typefaces based in contemporary design aesthetics, but incorporating classic western motifs to drive home the message of the urban cowgirl. her logo font is based on modernist slab serifs, with added spurs to really push the idea of individuality, being unafraid of exploration. her secondary font is a script — it’s distinct, with added balance by the sharp edges of stars. Ultimately we ended up with a look that is androgynous, bold, and unapologetic.
