kill bill: a deadly double feature

photobooth creative concepts and bride cutouts by me. the perfect set for a killer duel, and an even killer memento. taking inspiration from the fight finale between o-ren and the bride, i concepted a snowy, nighttime garden scene. working with our production team, i sourced the perfect starry blue sky backdrop to pair with a screen façade modelled after japanese residential architecture, a stone-paved path on snow trodden ground, pond using reflective plexiglass and evergreen shrubbery. as a secondary photo moment, i concepted a stained glass church altar for any impromptu i do’s. and for the finishing touch, i created cutouts of the bride’s two personas. costumes + hmu sourced and styled by me. inspired by the femme fatales of kill bill 1 + 2. gwen’s kimono is a white silk nagajuban and obi from little tokyo, naomi’s look is a combination of tailored suit pieces plus my personal bond hardware harness, and nicolette is in vintage adidas, featuring hand painted trainers.
