creative concept, scenic painting, and marquee graphics by me. to set the scene on all hallow’s eve (with an extremely limited budget), i took inspiration from the witchy, demonic, occultic walls of the hidden corridors of the tanz akademie. through my research, i found an essay breaking down each phrase and their meanings, and i used that source to create a rough outline for each panel. to create the tapestries, i used an off-white chiffon fabric and a brushed gold heavy body acrylic paint. lighting choices were inspired by the color palette of the film, which i also used to create the marquee graphics.
